Resume Standout is built to require as little of your data as possible. Here's exactly what happens when you use it.
Your resume
DOCX files are parsed entirely in your browser and never leave your device. PDF files are sent to our server to extract the text, then immediately discarded — we do not write it to disk or any database. Either way, only the extracted text is sent to our server and to our AI provider to generate your comparison, and it is not stored after your comparison is generated.
The job description
The job description you paste is sent to our server and to our AI provider to generate the comparison. It is not stored after your comparison is generated.
Accounts
There are no accounts. We don't ask for your name, email, or any other identifying information to use this tool.
Analytics
We track anonymous, aggregate usage events (for example, "a comparison was started") to understand whether this tool is useful. We do not log or analyze the contents of your resume or job description.
